RNC Chair Reince Priebus said he supports the Republican Congress in their efforts to hold the future of the government hostage with the threat of a shutdown. While some in his party have called this political stunt, “terror politics” “politically irresponsible” “dishonest” and “really dumb,” Priebus is embracing the most extreme factions of his party and doubling down on their commitment to partisan obstructionism.
